OpenLayers Heatmap

This shows the most queried 1km squares, with drill-down to weekly and daily details.

Heatmap Data.

The aim is to provide a record of each GetFeatureInfo drill-down in BRERC Interactive Maps. The record contains the square requested and whether a taxon, scientific or common name filter (search) was applied. Data is gathered from the PostgreSQL logfile. It is not preserved between instances of the database server. A total per day is shown for a rolling week. Data is completely regenerated each day at the 6am reload, then (until midnight) data for the current day is incremented in real-time.

Heatmap App.

Yellow represents 1 hit.
Orange represents 2-9 hits.
Red represents more than 9 hits.

You can select a 1km grid as base layer or overlay.
You can select a heatmap and/or an outline of squares with or without a filter (search) applied.
Use the taxon, scientific or common name searches to isolate squares with particular filters applied.
There may not be any queries for the current day but if there are these too can be highlighted.
Clicking in a square brings up a new window showing details (from the Heatmap Data) for that square. Options from the above apply.

Neither page is reloaded automatically so any cached results may become stale.
